Be careful with e-mails, texts and even letters by Post
Short but very beneficial post to remind you to be extra careful when you send out emails, text messages, or even if you send letters in the post.
You will deal with high number SAR’s even if you sent out a very friendly, quite legitimate email to your customers but forgot to put your usual named contact details.
For example if your company uses your LTD company name not your web site name or usual URL. The recipients won’t recognize your company and will send SAR to find out who had sent the email.
So, if you plan to send emails, send texts, or write letters – make sure you put your name and contact details on them – adding a link to your privacy policy and an opt-out link are also required. For the avoidance of doubt – this is the name that the recipient will know you as which may not be your LTD company name.
