Cyber security and working at home
Cyber Security – Staff Safety When Working at Home.
Looks like many people are going to be working at home for a while until we get over this terrible situation. This subject might not be top of your list but don’t forget cyber security for you and your staff who are also working remotely. Cyber security is hugely important and the most frequent cause of GDPR issues.
Cyber criminals will always try to take advantage of a situation and working at home could increase the risk of people making mistakes, getting viruses, falling for phishing scams, and becoming victims of all sorts of hacking attacks. You should make sure that all your staff have appropriate cyber security software installed on their laptops, tablets, phones, etc… and that they are setup correctly. This is particularly important if they are using their own devices.
Effective virus / firewall / malware / phishing software protection is provided by the usual products such as Norton, AVG, and McAfee – they all seem to offer good value multi-device deals. Please take a look and choose carefully.
