Who we are
GDPRLocal helps organisations outside the European Union meet their obligations under Article 27 of the GDPR by acting as their appointed EU representative through our EU-established affiliate. What we do
As your Article 27 EU representative as required under GDPR, we act as the contact point for competent EU supervisory authorities and for data subjects in relation to your in-scope processing activities, and we receive, log and forward all communications addressed to us without undue delay. We hold a copy of your Article 30 Records of Processing Activities and make them available to supervisory authorities on request and provide general guidance on EU regulatory expectations that affect the representative role. As an additional service, we can support your team in responding to regulator enquiries and investigations. This is a formal statutory mandate under Article 27(1) GDPR: it does not extend to making compliance decisions on your behalf or acting as your legal representative in litigation.
Wie es funktioniert
Once activated, your organisation formally appoints GDPRLocal's EU office as its representative, and we supply the contact details you need to publish across your privacy notices and communications, as required under Articles 13 and 14 GDPR. We are then able to monitor incoming correspondence from supervisory authorities and data subjects, notify your nominated contact immediately where a response deadline applies and, as an additional service, we can support you in the resolution of any complaint or regulatory issue. You keep sole responsibility for the accuracy of your processing records and for every substantive compliance decision, while GDPRLocal ensures your EU regulatory contact point is always staffed, monitored and responsive.
