Quiénes somos
GDPRLocal supports organisations based outside Switzerland that process the personal data of Swiss residents and need to appoint a representative under Article 14 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). We work through a local Swiss office to deliver a statutorily compliant representative function, drawing on the same regulatory experience we apply to our EU and UK representative services. Qué hacemos
As your appointed Swiss representative, GDPRLocal acts as the contact point for the FDPIC and for Swiss data subjects on matters relating to your processing activities, receiving and forwarding all relevant communications to your organisation without undue delay. We hold a copy of your Article 12 Records of Processing Activities where applicable, make them available to the FDPIC on request, and as an additional service, we can support you in the resolution of any complaint or regulatory issue and support your team in coordinating responses to Swiss regulatory inquiries or enforcement matters. We also provide general guidance on FADP regulatory developments that affect the representative function, keeping your organisation informed without overstepping into decision-making that remains yours alone.
Cómo funciona
On activation, our Swiss office is formally designated as your representative and we provide the contact details you need to publish in your Swiss-facing privacy notices. From that point, incoming communications from the FDPIC or from Swiss data subjects are received, logged and forwarded to your nominated contact promptly, with clear flagging of anything time-sensitive. You remain responsible for maintaining accurate processing records and for the substance of your compliance programme, while GDPRLocal ensures your Swiss regulatory and data subject contact point is properly staffed and consistently monitored.
